The Sabre Star tip design features a “Sabre-Tooth” tip with a series of sharp points around a deep hollow cavity, designed for consistent jacket opening and fold-back even at modest speeds. This is an ideal defense handgun or varmint rifle bullet feature.

The Poly Ball (a special linear-linked polyethylene sphere) in the tip of the bullet protects the bullet nose during handling and feeding, and drives back into the lead core on impact, acting like a flexible wedge to help open the bullet for uniform expansion.
