HISTORY: A short magnum based on the 300 RCM that holds about 4 grains less powder than the 6.5 SAAM, the intent was to create a hard hitting long range round that will not exceed the 3200 fps muzzle velocity mandated by PRS rules.  This 6.5  Precision Rifle Cartridge was development was a joint effort by GA Precision and Hornady.
