HISTORY:   The 6.5 Carcano is known in America as the 6.5mm Italian  ( also known as also known as the 6.5×52 mm, 6.5×52 mm Parravicini–Carcano or 6.5×52mm Mannlicher–Carcano).  Designed as an infantry cartridge and adopted by the Italian Army in 1891 for use in the the Model 1891 Carcano rifle.
