Vintage reloading dies-Lyman 45 COLT die set for sale

Vintage LYMAN Chrome die set for the 45 COLT.  Typical three dies in this set, Expander Die, Seating Die and a unique Full-Length Size Die.  This Sizer die sizes only because there is no decapping rod, in its place is a tapered expanding ball, removing spent primers was a step conducted first.  Die set possibly 1940’s -1950’s era.  Condition:  Good.

The size die works the upper third of the case to slightly smaller diameter, see attached photo.  I used unpolished fired brass on this test.  Never adjusted a die of this design before, possible a learning curve is in order.  On the Expander Die, I turned in quarter turn from contact which seem to work perfectly.  I used Lead Cast 300-grain bullet, no shavings on the bullet.  Every round I loaded fit easily in the Handgun Checker Gauge.  Seating/Crimping die seated all bullets to consistent overall length.
