HISTORY: The 38 Short Colt was originally intended for cartridge conversion kits for the 1851 Colt Navy.   In modern terms a short 38 Special so can be fired in revolvers chambered for 38 Special.   A 38 Short Colt is not a substitute for a 38 S&W.  Lee #90276 offers affordable die sets that will work on either the 38 Short or 38 Long Colt.
