CCI 22 WRF (22 WINCHESTER RIMFIRE) JHP is the only load of its kind on the market. The 19th century favorite features 21st century technology, including copper bullet composition and a special base that are ideal for old barrels, as well as reliable CCI priming.  Not for revolvers. Most 22 WRF revolvers have undersized bores that cannot use a jacketed bullet

HISTORY:  Originally offered in the 1890 Pump-Action rifle by Winchester, later models appeared on the market from Stevens and Remington.  At the time a 45 grain bullet at 1,050 fps was a major improvement in power and velocity.   Smokeless powder replaced black powder factory loads with a velocity gain of 300 fps.  Currently no modern firearms  are produced in the 22 WRF.
